New book "Night Vision"

Available for preorder here

Chronicle Books is releasing my second night photography book: Night Vision: The Art of Urban Exploration in June. It will contain approximately 115 images in 150 pages with essay's on the urban exploration phenomenon, the abandoned Byron Hot Springs Hotel, the rise and fall of American expansionism in the desert southwest, The Oakland Train Station, the Aviation Warehouse boneyard, and the systematic decommissioning of military installations all over the west. Forward by BLDGBLOG's Geoff Manaugh.

It's going to be a highly affordable, yet sophisticated and elegant product from this top quality publisher. More info soon!

The LOST AMERICA Book is now out of print.

Buy it used from amazon.com here:

Published by Motorbooks International in 2003, Lost America is a 9x9, 128 page trade paperback originally retailing for $20, though used copies are currently running around $80 to $100!

It has 106 color photos and 39 black and whites. 4 years on, most of these images no longer appear on this website. It also contains essays covering the life and death of the Salton Sea, the lure of Junkyards and the rise and fall of the Drive In culture in America. The book clocks in at about 12,000 words, so it's a good read, along with being a picture book. In the meantime . . .

I also have many images and written essays in the "Weird USA" series of books:

Fun books, selling like hot cakes. Check out the cover shot on the Nevada book . . .

I also illustrated this great dictionary too:
